Poultney-William James Lawrence, 64, died May 4, 2023 at the home of his sister, Sheila Saltis. He was born July 16, 1958 in Rutland Vermont, the son of Howard V. and Sylvia (Hughes) Lawrence. Bill was employed for many years as a material handler at Metromail in Rutland. He was a huge wrestling fan for over 50 years and has a collection of wrestling memorabilia. Bill was known to everyone as Uncle Bill. He was loved by many and he had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. Survivors include his siblings, Larry (Judy) of Dayville CT, Sheila (John) of Poultney VT, and Sandy (Ron) of Danielson CT., and by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, and brothers Steven and Robert. A private burial will be at a later date at the Poultney cemetery.
