William D. Corbin 84, died Saturday evening July 4, 2020 at Rutland Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born January 18, 1936 in Windsor Locks, CT the son of William and Carrie May (Wing) Corbin. William was a graduate of Windsor Locks High School class of 1953 He was a real estate broker for many years and worked as a consultant for a company in the conversion of vehicles to run on natural gas; was nominated for the Entrepreneur of the Year award in 1990 for his work. William married Nina Cables (Silkey) on April 11, 1992 in Granby, CT, together the couple moved to Poultney in 1996. Survivors are his wife Nina Corbin, of Poultney, by his daughters, Linda Ziemnicki, of Bridgeton, ME, Carol Loughrey, of Windsor Locks, CT and Theresa "Terry" Rowe, of Bloomfield, CT. He was predeceased by his parents. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Connecticut. Memorial contributions may be made to the Poultney Rescue Squad at P.O. Box 76, Poultney, VT 05764.
