Shirley A. Dumas 57, died upon arrival at Rutland Regional Medical Center Thursday morning March 5, 2015.
Born October 13, 1957 in Sharon, CT the daughter of William and Lisa (Finkel) Mott.
Shirley married Edward M. Dumas on July 21, 1976.
She was an active participant with the Boy Scouts of America for many years and operated udder Day Care for many years out of her home. Shirley enjoyed entering the chili cook off with her grandson. She was an avid reader enjoyed cooking, sewing and watching John Wayne movies. Recently she discovered Face Book where she would spent many hours.
Shirley was a member of St. Raphaels Catholic Church and had taught Catechism for several years.
She is survived by her husband Edward M. Dumas of Poultney, by her father William M. Mott Sr. of Poultney, by her children Melissa Missy Haynes of El Paso, TX and Christopher Chris Dumas of Tampa, FL., by her brothers, Daniel Mott of Poultney and Paul Mott of Fort Myers FL., by her grandson Aaron Haynes and his father Daryl of Middletown Springs, by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends and by her loving dog Chewy.
She was predeceased by her mother, Lisa (Finkel) Mott, by her brother, William M. Mott Jr., and her sister Lisa Shoemake.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday March 10, 2015 from 4-7 P.M. at the Roberts-Aubin Funeral Home, located at 266 Allen Ave, Poultney.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday March 11, 2015 at 11 A.M. at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, with the Rev. Daniel Jordan as the Celebrant.
Burial will be in the spring in St. Raphaels Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Raphael Catholic Church at 3 East Main Street Poultney, VT 05764 or to the Poultney Rescue Squad at P.O. Box 76, Poultney, VT 05764
