Sheryl D. Doran 64, died Tuesday afternoon June 19, 2012 at Rutland Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Born March 28, 1948 in Granville, NY the daughter of John A. and Edith (Jones) Ward Sr. She was a graduate of Poultney High School. Sheryl worked for many years at General Electric in Rutland and more recently as a School Bus Monitor and later for Rutland Area Visiting Nurse and Hospice Association. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandson; she also enjoyed crafts, sewing and was an excellent cook and baker, she also enjoyed the company of her dog Barney and caring for others. She is survived by her mother Edith Ward, of Poultney, by her children, Brent Doran and his wife Michelle, of West Haven, Brad Doran, of Castleton, by her brothers, John A. Ward Jr., Darren Ward and Jayson Ward, all of Poultney. By her grandson David Doran, of West Haven and by several aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father John A. Ward Sr. Funeral Services will be held on Friday June 22, 2012 at 3 P.M. at the Roberts-Aubin Funeral Home, 266 Allen Ave. Poultney. The Rev. Holly Noble will officiate. Burial will follow in Poultney Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday June 22, 2012 from 2 P.M. until the time of the service at 3 P.M.
