Poultney- Ronald E. Hall
Ronald Edward Hall 90, died Thursday February 23, 2017 at his residence.
He was born July 4, 1926 in Seekonk, MA, the son of William E. and Gertrude J. (Nichols) Hall.
Ron was a graduate of East Providence High School class of 1945 and was also a 1949 Graduate of Brown University receiving his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
He was a World War II veteran serving in the United States Army Air Corps.
Ron was employed by General Electric Co. retiring in 1987 after 32 years of service. After retirement Ron was very active in tax counseling for A.A.R.P. and I.R.S. for low income people in Rutland County.
He was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church where he served as Senior Warden. He also was a former Scout Master with troop # 104. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying sailing, hiking, camping, fishing and hunting. As an accomplished cyclist Ron competed in several senior Olympic games and completed multiple century rides.
Survivors include his wife Elaine of 66 years, his children, Deborah Hall Bloomer of New Market, NH, Brenda Hall Josephsen and husband Steven of Nacogdoches, TX and Alison Hall and husband Matthew Holmquist of Essex, VT. He was predeceased by his son Bryce Alan Hall in 2003. In addition he leaves 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many extended family members.

The family is deeply grateful for the wonderful care he received from Dr. Eismann at the Foley Cancer Center and Margaret Franklin RN his hospice nurse.
There will be no services at this time.
