HUDSON FALLS, NY- Rita May Tobin 94, a resident of Fort Hudson Nursing Hone died Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Glen Falls Hospital, Glen Falls, NY. Born in Poultney, VT May 1, 1917, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Mary Ann (Hannan) Tobin. Rita was a telephone operator for AT&T for 47 years and was previously a communicant of St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church of Poultney. Surviving family members include a nephew, James Cooke of Charleston, SC. Rita was predeceased by eight brothers and sisters. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1:30 PM Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at St Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church with the Rev. Sean Dowling, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Raphaels Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
