Poultney, VT – Richard Illsley, 87, died Thursday, February 15, 2024 at his home in Poultney, VT.

He was born July 21, 1936 in Ayer, MA, the son of George and Beatrice Pearson Illsley.

Richard married Anna Martin on December 21, 1957 in Canton, CT.

Richard was a mechanic for Pratt & Whitney for over 35 years, and in his spare time enjoyed messing around with and racing old cars and travelling in the countryside.

He is survived by his daughter, Rose of Poultney, VT; by his stepdaughter, Gloria Dellinger of Leesburg, FL; grandson, Chad I. Austin of Poultney; VT, sister, Letitia of Bristol, CT; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Al Watson of Poultney, VT; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Hope Illsley of Mars Hill, PA; and special friend, Rhoda Jarvis of Randolph, VT.

Richard was predeceased by his wife, Anna; brother, John; brother, Mark; sister, Nita; sister, Shirley; sister, Blanch; son-in-law, Thomas; and son-in-law, Wayne.

A service will be held on Friday, February 23 at 11:30am at Roberts-Aubin Funeral Home, 266 Allen Avenue, in Poultney, VT.
