Richard Norris Baird 90, died Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Rutland Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born May 14, 1928 in West Rutland the son of Arthur and Ella (Walker) Baird. Richard had worked for the town of Dorset as a heavy equipment operator prior to his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and camping. Survivors are his wife Marion (McIntyre) Baird, of Manchester Center, by his children, Bonnie Slade, Rick G. Baird, Ella & Dwain Walsh, Deb & Pete Wyman, Peter & Cyndie Baird, 15 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great, Great Grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, 2 daughters; Frances Baird & Hope Severance and his siblings. There will be no service at this time.
