Richard C. Amadon Jr., 83 died at his residence in Poultney on February 18, 2019 after a lengthy illness.
He was born June 14, 1935 in Lunenburg, Vt the son of Richard C. Amadon Sr. and Nina (Pond) Amadon.
Richard was a high school graduate and enlisted in the United States Army serving during the Korean War.
He work at Williams Machine Shop in Poultney for many years.
Richard was a member of the Poultney American Legion and was an avid Patriots Fan.
He is survived by his children, Kathleen Filippone, of Sterling, MA, Sondra Goodwin, of Shelburne and Diane Sullivan , of Pensacola, FL, by his six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents, and his sons, Ronnie and Paul Amadon, by his siblings, Norma and Linda.
Per his wishes there will be no services. Private family services will be held in Poultney Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Roberts-Aubin Funeral Home.
