Rhoda Jean Thomas 75, died Thursday evening April 28, 2016 at Rutland Regional Medical Center. She was born in Poultney on October 19, 1940 and raised by her mother Bertha Stoddard. Rhoda was a graduate of Poultney High School class of 1958. She was employed for many years at Telescope Casual Furniture Inc., Rhoda enjoyed volunteering her time at the Poultney Thrift Shop and also enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Survivors are her children, Kenneth A. Thomas and wife Margaret of Winooski, Karen Powers and husband Dave of Poultney and Kim Jones and husband Dan of Poultney, by her grandchildren, Peg and Chris Mutty, Patrick and Erika Thomas, Kyle Powers, Kelsey and Jackson Morse, Kasandra Powers, Ali Jones and Hailey Jones, by her great-grandson, Charlie Thomas. Also by her special niece Linda Ellis and her beloved dogs Lola and Cider. She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth M. Thomas on August 3, 2014, by her son Keith Thomas in 1979 and her siblings, David and Raymond Hughes and Ruth Ceraldi. Visiting hours for family and friends will be held on Tuesday May 3, 2016 from 4-7 P.M. at the Roberts-Aubin Funeral Home, located at 266 Allen Ave, Poultney.
