Patrick E. Fallar 87, died Wednesday April 24, 2013 at Rutland Regional Medical Center.
He was born September 22, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY the son of the late Angelo and Anna (Foruolo) Buongervino.
Patrick was a graduate of Brooklyn High School and also received an Associates Degree from Green Mountain College. He worked for many years as an Audio Visual Technician at Mill River High School and Green Mountain College; he later with wife owned and operated Fallars V.N.S. Variety in Poultney.
He married Elizabeth Simpson on September 18, 1949 at St. Bridgettes Catholic Church, Westbury, Long Island, NY.
He was a Veteran serving with the United States Army during World War II.
Pat was member of the American Legion J. Claire Carmody post # 39 of Poultney and was also a former member of the Knights of Columbus in Long Island. He enjoyed model building especially boats, he was a handyman and enjoyed fixing things around the house. He also enjoyed golfing and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Fallar, of Poultney, by a son, Richard Fallar and his wife Gail, of Tinmouth, by his daughters, Lorraine Saltis and her husband Rocky, of Poultney and Christine Monego and her husband Robert, of Castleton, by his six grandchildren and his seven great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and numerous cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents and his two brothers, Robert and Anthony and by his sister Irene Timpson.
Visiting hours for family and friends will be held on Monday April 29, 2013 from 4-7 P.M. at the Roberts-Aubin Funeral Home, 266 Allen Ave. Poultney.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday April 30, 2013 at 11 A.M. at St. Raphaels the Arch Angel Catholic Church. The Rev. Daniel Jordan as celebrant.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Roberts-Aubin Funeral Home.
