Patricia Ann Godzik 86, formerly of Poultney died Monday morning July 3, 2017 at the Pines in Rutland.
She was born August 3, 1930 in Rutland the daughter of Arthur and Mary (Mangan) McCarthy.
Patricia was a graduate of Mount Saint Joseph. She was a member of St. Raphael the Arch Angel Catholic Church and a former member of Christ the King.
She started work at the age of 16 at Woolworths and then as a telephone operator with New England Telephone retiring in 1983, then working at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home.
Patricia enjoyed volunteering at R.S.V.P. as a clown going around to local nursing homes cheering up the patients; she was also a avid member of TOPS, and the Young at Heart Senior Center.
Survivors are her children, Thomas Godzik Jr., of Poultney, Robert and Arthur Godzik both of Monroe, GA., Sue Hitchcock and husband Roger, of Poultney and Debbie Godzik of Tucson, AZ., by her brother Tom McCarthy of Massachusetts and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents, by her husband Thomas Godzik Sr. and by her siblings, Joseph, James, Arthur Jr., Mary, Kathleen, Eileen, Jean, Claire and Alice.
A Graveside service will be held Monday July 10, 2017 at 10 A.M., in Calvary Cemetery in Rutland.
Memorial Contributions in memory of Patricia may be made to the Young at Heart Senior Center at 206 Furnace Street, Poultney, VT 05764.
Arrangements are under the directions of the Roberts-Aubin Funeral Home.
