Mary Haskins, 60, of Wells, VT, died peacefully after complications of congestive heart failure on Sunday, December 26th, 2021, surrounded by her husband and children. Mary was born April 28th, 1961, in Bennington, Vermont to Darrell and Charlotte Moffit of Wells, VT. She grew up and spent most of her life in Vermont. Mary enjoyed working in retail, management and customer service. She also was a lister for the town of Wells. She was outgoing and had the ability to talk to strangers as if they were long-lost friends. She was a gifted writer with a talent for letting her words paint vibrant pictures in your mind. She was a kind generous spirit who enjoyed giving back to the town she grew up in; cooking for the school summer program; working on floats for the parade; helping with the Wells foliage 5k event and more. She volunteered for the Battered Womens Shelter and was the creator and former Editor of HerStory, a newsletter for the Battered Womens Shelter. Mary, who had a wonderful sense of humor loved people and animals dearly. Mary was survived by her husband, Douglas Haskins and 7 children; Michelle Fornari, Janelle Fornari, Ashley Fornari, Justin Fornari, Alexis Fornari, April Haskins, and Skylar Haskins. Mary is also survived by her Brothers; Bruce Moffit, Phillip Moffit, Robert Moffit, Kevin Moffit, and William Moffit; and 18 grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her parents, her brothers; Darrell Moffit, and Walter Moffit; and her daughter Lisa (Fornari) Donahue. A Burial and memorial service will be planned for early spring and announced at a later date.
