Martha A. Williams, 69, a summer resident of Lake St. Catherine died Tuesday, August 12, 2014 after a brief illness at Rutland Regional Medical Center in Rutland, VT. Born October 2, 1944 in Montclair, NJ, she was the daughter of the late George A. and Joanne W. (Way) Albrecht. Martha was a graduate of Lincoln School, Providence, RI and Green Mountain College, Poultney, VT, class of 1964. She was a homemaker and owner of M & R Creations of Locust Grove, VA. Martha enjoyed many arts and crafts, was an accomplished artist and enjoyed friendships with many artisans. She was an expert seamstress and quilter. She enjoyed water sports and spending time with her six grandchildren. Surviving family members include her husband, Russell I. Williams III of Lake St. Catherine and Locust Grove, VA; one daughter Elizabeth W. Henry and her husband Steve of Fredericksburg, VA ; one son, Russell I. Williams IV and his wife Debbie of Broad Brook, CT; one brother, G. Allen Albrecht and his wife Marilyn of Wilder, VT; one sister, Susan Leach and her husband Richard of Merchantville, NJ; six grandchildren, Stephen Henry, Katherine Henry, Emily Henry, Matthew Henry, Sydney Williams and Russell Williams V; nieces and nephews. A private memorial gathering will take place at the convenience of her family. The family suggests that memorial donations be made in her name to CLL Global Research Foundation, Unit 428, PO Box 301402, Houston TX 77230-1402,supporting CLL research and treatment.
