Margaret M. (Cook) Pitts, 85, a fifty year East Poultney resident, passed away in the comfort of her home on Tuesday, February 2nd, after a brief illness. She was born in Allston, MA on January 31, 1931, a daughter of the late Frederick E. Sr. and Margaret M. (Chisholm) Cook. She was the wife of the late Samuel G. Pitts. Margaret enjoyed going to bingo, playing cards, and working on craft projects. She is survived by her son Gregory Allan Pitts; her brother, Kenneth Cook, two sisters; Phyllis Moore, and Lorna Terp, two grandsons and one great grandson. Calling hours at the Roberts Aubin Funeral Home, 266 Allen Ave., Poultney are on Saturday, February 13 from 2 4pm. A funeral home service will be held at 4pm. Burial will be at a later date in Pleasant View Cemetery, Middletown Springs.
