Poultney, VT Lila M. Jay Lila M. Jay 91, of Poultney, died Friday afternoon May 12, 2023, at Mountain View Center in Rutland. She was born June 30, 1931, in Rochester, VT, the daughter of Pearl and Lucy May (Hook) Sanders. Lila was a graduate of Rochester High School class of 1949 where she was Salutatorian of her class. She enjoyed the Young at Heart Senior Center in Poultney and was an avid reader and enjoyed jig saw puzzles, bingo and spending time with her grandchildren. She was also a member of the D.A.R. Lila is survived by her children, Bonnie and her spouse, Scott Webster, of Poultney and Kalvin Jay and his spouse, Pamela, of Monkton, VT. Also by her grandchildren, Brian Webster and his fianc, Chelsea Beaudoin, of North Clarendon, VT; Rebecca Webster and her fianc, Brett Vereecke, of Poultney; Kassidy, Elrik, and Rorrie Jay, all of Monkton VT; and Anthony Clark and his father, Donald Clark, of Poultney. As well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Charles Jay in 2002 and by her daughter Amy Jay in 2006 also by her brothers, George, Oris, Roland, Otis and Morris Sanders and her sisters, Marie Andrews, Marion Daniels, and Joyce Rhoades. Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 26th at 2:00 pm in the Wells Village Cemetery in Wells, VT Memorial contributions may be made to the Young at Heart Senior Center at 206 Furnace Street Poultney, VT 05764 or to the United Baptist Church at 1500 East Main Street, Poultney , VT 05764 Arrangements are under the direction of the Roberts-Aubin Funeral Home.
