Korina Marie (Gagne) Stone 56, died Saturday morning November 9, 2024 at the University of Vermont Medical Center after a brief illness.
She was born September 23, 1968 in Burlington, VT, the daughter of David L. Stone and Barbara A. (Wardwell) Stone.
She graduated from Melbourne High School, Melbourne, FL class of 1985. She furthered her education after graduation at the Florida Institute of Technology ( FIT) with a bachelor's degree in business.
Korina finds joy in walking along the beach, feeling the soft sand beneath her feet and listening to the soothing sound of waves crashing. She loved spending time near lakes, where the calm waters reflect the beauty of the surroundings that created a peaceful atmosphere. Crafting is one of her favorite hobbies, as it allows her to express her creativity and make unique handmade items. Music is also big part of her life; she enjoys exploring various genres and often finds inspiration in its rhythms and melodies. Above all, Korina has a deep appreciation for nature and eagerly seeks out its beauty, whether it's marveling at vibrant sunsets or observing the intricate details of leaves. For her, every experience is an adventure waiting to unfold, and she embraces the joy found in life's simplest pleasures.
She worked hard as an entrepreneur, mother, lobbyist, manager, machine operator.
She is survived by her children, Amber Davis, Randy Davis and Lacey Wingard. By her father David L. Stone, by her mother, Barbara A. (Wardwell) Hix; by her step children, Morgan Gagne and Skylar Gagne. By her siblings, Amy Thayer, Laurie Waite, Leann Bryce and Jason Stone. Also by her grandchildren, Destiny Lynn, Kingslee and Bentlee and by two step grandchildren.
Visiting Hours will be held on Wednesday November 13, 2024 from 11 A.M. until 12 P.M. at the Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home, located at 117 South Main Street, Middlebury, VT.
Private burial will be held in St. Raphael Cemetery in Poultney.
