Kevin Michael Thompson 56, died on Saturday, February 11, 2017 suddenly at his home. He was born April 7, 1960 in Lowell, MA the son of James F. and Hazel (Parks) Thompson. Kevin was a graduate of Westford Academy class of 1978 and earned a B.S. degree in Accounting from Bentley University class of 1982. Kevin was currently employed as Controller at Hubbardton Forge in Castleton, VT. He was formerly employed by R Tape Corp., Kortec Inc, C + K Components and Grant Thornton of Boston. He was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Zeta Beta Tau fraternity. Kevin enjoyed spending time at his summer cottage in Wells, ME and at Lake St. Catherine, VT with his family and neighbors. He enjoyed gardening traveling, taking naps with his dog Molly and was an avid reader. He was a quiet, kind and caring soul with a great sense of humor. Kevin is survived by his loving wife Karen of thirty-one years, son Michael, his daughters Lauren and Jill and his beloved grandson David Kevin. Also, by his brothers Garrett (Maryann) of Groton, MA, Steven (Christina) of Oakboro, NC, Bruce of Cape Coral, FL, mother-in-law, Ruth Brothers of Foxboro, MA, brother-in-law, Bob Brothers of Union, CT, three aunts; Grace Latour, Jackie Parks and Margaret Hudlin, several nieces, nephews and cousins. At Kevins request, there will be no visiting hours. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 10AM at St. Catherines of Alexandria Parish in Westford, MA. In honor of Kevin, those who wish may donate books to their local school or public library. Arrangements have been made under the direction of the Roberts-Aubin Funeral Home.
