Joseph M. Perkins, 56, died early Sunday April 22, 2018 at Rutland Regional Medical Center in Rutland after a brief illness. He was born October 23, 1961 in Rutland, the son of Donald C. Perkins and Patricia Lea (Sharp) Perkins. He attended local schools in Poultney. He was a carpenter in the construction field. Joseph enjoyed fishing and helping people. He is survived by his siblings: Jeff and wife Marsha Perkins of Wells, Joshua Perkins of Chester and Jolene Perkins also of Chester. By his step-brother Lonnie Sawyer of Rutland and step-sister Katherine Sawyer of Poultney. Also by several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother James Perkins. There will be no funeral services.
