Joseph Peter Panoushek, a native and resident of Hampton, NY, passed away on November 30, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on September 6, 1938 to Henry and Doris Panoushek. Joseph was a Union Carpenter, millwright by trade, belonged to Hampton Planning Board, Poultney Rescue Squad, Hampton Fire Department, and was a Freemason.
He enjoyed farming and was known for his meticulously well kept huge garden. He and his sons enjoyed going to auctions and cattle sales. His greatest joy was spending time with his family!
He is survived by his wife and love of his life, Patricia; children, Diana (Mike) Lehmkuhl, Susan (Bill) Bunker, Jeffrey (Angie) Panoushek, Steven (Emily) Panoushek, Karen Spaulding and Joanne (Gary) Gates; 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; and siblings, Henry (Betty) Panoushek, Frances (Richard) Stark, sister-in-law, Patty Marchland Panoushek; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Panoushek, Sr. and Dora Duffany; a son at birth; brothers, Morris & Russell; grandsons, Kyle Bunker, Shawn Panoushek, Justin Panoushek, and Jeremy Spaulding; and great grandson, Austin Nadeau.
A memorial service will be Friday, December 13, 2024 at Roberts-Aubin Funeral Home in Poultney, VT at 1:00 p.m.
