John W. Ashback Jr. 73, died Saturday afternoon January 19, 2013 at the Pines in Rutland after a long illness. He was born February 15, 1939 in Newark, NJ the son of the late John Sr., and Loretta (Hahn) Ashback. He was employed by New Jersey Bell Telephone Company for many years, after retirement John and Barbara moved to Vermont. Together they owned and operated Vermont Reflections out of their home, making wooden gifts from Vermont. John enjoyed woodworking and fixing cars. He is survived by his wife Barbara (Haack) Ashback, of Poultney. John was predeceased by his sister Loretta Ann Ashback. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
