Obituary

James F. Kasuba 62, died suddenly Sunday May 17, 2015 in West Pawlet while turkey hunting with his granddaughter. Jim was born April 26, 1953 in Glens Falls, NY the son of John and Beverlie (Stone) Kasuba. He was a graduate of the Poultney High School class of 1971, where he played football and baseball for the Blue Devils. He later went on to coach Little League baseball and one of his greatest thrills was watching his daughters play soccer, basketball and softball also for the Poultney Blue Devils. Jim married Susan McGreevy on June 26, 1976 at St. Raphaels the Arch Angel Catholic Church in Poultney. They took great joy in raising their two daugthers and have many memories of family vacations at both the ocean and mountains of Maine. They enjoyed going for rides in the evenings looking for deer and turkey. Jim and Suzy have created countless memories with friends during "team meetings," camping trips and nights on their deck. He had been employed by General Electric Company in Rutland for 38 Years. Jim was a member of St. Raphaels the Arch Angel Catholic Church. He was an avid hunter and sportsman and a member of the N.R.A. He was a champion of youth hunting and fishing and took great pride and enjoyment in introducing his love of the outdoors to anyone he could including his daughters, son in law and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Susan (McGreevy) Kasuba of Poultney. His two daughters, Jaime Milazzo and husband Louis of Poultney and Angela Wilkins and Eric Haynes of Middletown Springs. His brothers, Arnold Kasuba and wife Donna of Castleton and Ernie Sahlberg and wife Linda of Whitehall, NY, his sister-in-law Carlene Kasuba of Poultney and his grandchildren, Isabella, Lucas, Nicolas and James Milazzo of Poultney, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jim will be dearly missed in the woods by the numerous hunting buddies he has scouted and hunted with during his lifetime. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Beverlie Kasuba and brother Edward Kasuba. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday evening May 20, 2015 from 4- 7 P.M. at the Roberts-Aubin Funeral Home, located at 266 Allen Ave. Poultney. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday May 21, 2015 at 11 A.M. at St. Raphaels the Arch Angel Catholic Church, with the Rev. Daniel Jordon as the Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Raphaels Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The Poultney Fish and Game Club at 1073 East Main Street Poultney, Vermont 05764.
