Poultney James Hamblin Sr.
James Hamblin Sr. 78, died Saturday afternoon December 20, 2014 at Genesis Eldercare Mountain View Center in Rutland after a long illness.
Born August 4, 1936 in Krypton, KY he was the son of the late Farmer and Sudie (Wooton) Hamblin.
He married Lillian Pierce on July 14, 1963 in Tijuana, Mexico.
James work as a foreman for many years at Staco in Poultney and also at General Electric before he became disabled.
He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, bingo, working on cars and was an avid Johnny Cash Fan.
He is survived by his wife Lillian Hamblin of Poultney, Sons, Jimmy Hamblin, Tommy Hamblin and Jodi Hamblin all of New Jersey and James Hamblin Jr. of Poultney, by his daughters, Rebecca Williams of Poultney, Betty Sawyer of Barre and Helen Hamblin of Essex, NY, by his sisters, Ruth Amburgey of Washington and Della Stidham of New Jersey and also by his 13 grandchildren and 6grat-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents and his siblings, Sally, Rebecca and Rowena.
Services will be private.
