James M. Dudley, 69, of Middletown Springs, died October 3, 2015 at Dartmouth Medical Center in New Hampshire after a brief illness surrounded by his family and friends. He was born on August 23, 1946 in Rutland VT to Cecil and Katherine (Powers) Dudley .He was a graduate of Mt. Saint Joseph Academy. Jim served in the National Guard. He was a farmer, a construction worker, a factory worker and worked at Sewards Dairy, H. A. Eddy Oil, Irving Oil and Discount Fuels. After retiring, he worked part time at the Transfer Station in Middletown Springs until the time of his death. He enjoyed gardening, sugaring, canning , making jelly, hunting, fishing, his trips to Foxwood and playing cards on Monday nights. He is survived by his wife Donna (Kapusta) Dudley whom he married on November 3, 1979, a son Sean Dudley of Colchester, a daughter Ashely Dudley of Danby, sisters Cecile Carmen of Tennessee, Margaret and (Kevin) Corey of Brandon, a brother William Dudley and his companion Nancy of Shrewsbury. He is also survived by his Aunt Jane Milizia of Winooski, VT, four sisters-in-laws Cheryl Kapusta & Tom of Castleton, Gail Goodrich of Manchester, Sandra Bromley of Danby and Cynthia Harrington and her husband Greg of Manchester along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and a son James (Jamie) Dudley. Their will be no calling hours. There will be a celebration of Jim's life on October 17th (Saturday) at 1:00 p.m. at the Middletown Springs Fire House. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice.
