Jacquelyn “Jackie” Jones, 97 of Poultney, Vermont passed away on May 5, 2026.

Born on June 14, 1928 to Cornelius and Philip Crosby, Jacquelyn was a homemaker dedicated to her family. For many years she was a caregiver for her husband, Rodman Jones. She enjoyed knitting, reading, doing puzzles, and attending services at the Poultney Welsh Presbyterian Church. Most notably known as “Nianie”, she will especially be missed by those who stopped at her house on College St. on Halloween when she would be wearing her home knitted pumpkin sweater.

Jackie is survived by her children, Gail Jean (Joseph) Babcock and Douglas (Molly) Jones, 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, her brother Thomas Crosby, and several nieces and nephews. She was also survived by her niece, Barbara Gooding who often visited her at Our House Assisted Living. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodman R. Jones, her son David R. Jones, sister Joan Harvey, and niece Bonnie Rodrique.

Calling hours will be May 15, 2026 from 10:00 to 11:00 at Roberts-Aubin Funeral Home in Poultney, with a Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Poultney Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Poultney Welsh Presbyterian Church.
