Gloria T. LaBate 86, a life time resident of Poultney died Tuesday evening February 12, 2013 at Rutland Regional Medical Center after a long illness. She was born November 29, 1926 in Poultney, VT the daughter of the late Angelio and Donata (Dimichele) LaBate. Gloria was a graduate of Poultney High School. Gloria was a member of St. Raphaels the Arch Angel Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading and taking walks. Gloria work for over thirty-two years as a home product sales person in the Poultney area. She is survived by her sister, Grace Fox, of South Hadley, M.A., also by several nieces, nephews and numerous cousins. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister Jane Laramie, also by her seven brothers, Francis, Guy, John, Angelio Jr., Antonio, Ernest (Peter) and Michael. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday February 16, 2013 at 11 A.M. at St. Raphaels Catholic Church. The Rev. Daniel Jordan will be the celebrant. Visiting hours will be held on Friday February 15, 2013, from 5-7 P.M. at the Roberts-Aubin Funeral Home, 266 Allen Ave., Poultney. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Raphaels Catholic church at 21 East Main Street, Poultney, VT 05764. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roberts-Aubin Funeral Home. .
