Elmer F. Skip Burr, 80, died Monday, February 18, 2013 at Rutland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Pittsfield, VT July 19, 1932, he was the son of the late Desmond and Mildred (Fifield) Burr. He was a United States Air Force veteran serving in the Korean conflict. He was an iron worker building bridges for many major roads in the North East. Skip enjoyed baseball, fishing, repairing lawn mowers, carpentry. He was fond of cats and birds. Skip is survived by one sister, Peg Jones of Albany, NY and his brother, Frank Burr, of Alaska and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Wilbur Burr, and two sisters, Irene Townsend and Wilma Burr Sweeney Flaherty, and his half sister, Marylee Burr A graveside service will be conducted at a later date in Pittsfield Cemetery, Pittsfield, VT. .
