Poultney, VT Elizabeth W. Webster Elizabeth W. Webster 93, died Monday May 21, 2012 at Helen Porter Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Middlebury. She was born May 10, 1919 in St. Johnsbury, Vt, one of two sets of fraternal twins to the late Dwight and Clara (Fontaine) Wells. Betty was a graduate of St. Johnsbury Academy and furthered her education to become a Dental Hygienist. Elizabeth was a former member of the Poultney Historical Society and the Poultney Garden Club. She loved animals and enjoyed gardening, swimming, singing, teaching Sunday school and being a 4 H leader. Survivors are her children; Marsha Hemm and her husband Martin, of Bomoseen, Norman R. Webster Jr., of Burlington, by her grandchildren, Max Hemm, Martina Hemm, Jessica Webster, Jenna Webster and Jackson Webster. By her special nephews, Jeff, Greg and Steve Wells. Also by her former daughter-in-law who she was close to Nancy Webster, of Rutland. Betty was predeceased by her husband Norman Richard Dick Webster who died January 13, 1989, by her siblings, fraternal twin Bud, fraternal twins Paul and Paula and her sister Lucy. A graveside service will be held on Thursday May 24, 2012 at 1 P.M. at the East Poultney Cemetery in East Poultney. The Rev. Holly Noble will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Poultney Historical Society at 1499 East Main Street, Poultney, VT 05764.
