Ed was born in Poultney, Vermont to Ransom and Marguerite Mae (Johnson) Baker on May 9, 1934. Ed married Carol V. Velde on March 5, 1966. Carol has been the love of his life since the moment he first put his eyes upon her. That is something that never changed. Ed is survived by his son Thomas Velde Sr., his wife Kylee, children Tom Jr., His partner Sarah and children Cole, Zoe, Lilly, and Hannah.James Ed Velde and husband Danny, Kassidy, Katelyn, Quinn, Kason, and Carter. Son Anders Velde his children Melanie Velde, her partner Omar, and daughter Tiana. Andy Velde, Nicole White her husband Verol, and daughter Marianna. Daughter Andrea Carmen her husband Frank, children Courtney Carmen her partner Jeremy, and children Kasey and Bryce. Whitney Carmen and son Carson. Daughter Tracy Gioffi-Baker her partner Robert, children Mitchell Gioffi, Zachary Gioffi, Cody Gioffi, and Rachel Baker and her partner Brian. Foster sons Marty Pendriss, Mike Pendriss and Robert Hall. He also leaves behind his very special and loved friends Danny and Ida Matteson, several wonderful nephews, nieces, and other friends. He was predeceased by a sister Pauline Fowler and five brothers, Floyd, Donald, Stanley, Raymond, and Clarence. More than anything, Ed (Dad) loved to work on the farm and enjoy our huge family dinners. His chair at the head of the table will never be filled.
