Poultney, VT Mr. Edward J. Breznick Sr. 86, died Saturday morning February 12, 2011 at Indian River Nursing home in Granville, NY. He was born April 5, 1924 in Mineville, NY the son of the late Frank & Bernice (Terczak) Breznick. Edward was a graduate of Poultney high School class of 1942. After high school he enlisted in the United States Navy and served during WW II He was a member of St. Raphaels Catholic Church and the American Legion J. Claire Carmody Post 37 of Poultney. Edward was employed by General Electric Company in Rutland working in the Forge Department retiring in 1986. He is survived by his Wife Mary (Barbaro) Breznick who he married in Middle Granville, NY in 1948, by his son Edward j Breznick Jr. & his wife Kathy, of Poultney, by his daughter Paula Jean Skelley & her husband Michael , of Albany, NY, by his brother, Frank Breznick, of South Poultney, by his 4 granddaughters, Jenn Skelley, Jill Skelley, Amie Kirschenbaum and Kristi Breznick, by his great-grandson Jett Kirschenbaum and also by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Stanley & Walter Breznick and by his sisters, Bernice Breznick, Jenny Kuruc, Alice Cembalski, Sophie Fialkovich and Helen Kopchick. Visitation hours will be held on Monday February 14, 2011 from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the Roberts- Aubin Funeral Home Located at 266 Allen Ave. Poultney, VT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday February 15, 2011 at 11 A.M. at St. Raphaels Catholic Church. The Rev. Sean Patrick Dowling parish priest will be the celebrant. Burial will be at a later date in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Granville, NY.
