Donald Frederick Jones 76, died Monday October 24, 2016 at his residence after a brief illness. He was born June 28, 1940 in Granville, NY the son of Frederick and Nellie (Jones) Jones. Donald attended local schools in the Granville area, after school he enlisted in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged. He was employed for many years at Rosen & Berger in Center Rutland and also had worked at the Somewhere Restaurant. Donald enjoyed country music, playing guitar and singing in his band. Donald also liked fishing, feeding the animals, enjoyed nature and playing practical jokes. Donald was known for his great sense of humor. Donald is survived by his children, Michael Jones of Castleton, Marion Missy Scott and Michelle Murray, both of Poultney, by his 5 grandchildren, one great-grandson, and also by a niece and nephew. He also leaves his companion, Angelique Duvall, of Middletown Springs. There will be a celebration of Dons life and potluck on Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 1-3pm at Middletown Springs Elementary School. Please bring a dish to share.
