Poultney Devereaux Priest
Devereaux Priest 81, died Sunday November 6, 2022, at Rutland Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
He was born April 2, 1941 in Long Island, NY the son of Arthur and Helen (Christie) Priest.
Dev was an entrepreneur; he owned several businesses in the community. The last being Bayberry Corners Restaurant in lake George NY. He was an expert in wood working and working with his hands.
He is survived by his son. Scott Priest, of Fort Ann, NY and his Grandson, Dillon Priest, of Fort Ann, NY. Dev is also survived by Mona Martucci, who he loved dearly and spent the last 25 years of his life with, and her family, Tom McKee of Latham, NY, Maureen and Mike Smith of Greenwich, NY, Steven McKee of Fair Haven, VT, Jill and Doug Bishop of Ticonderoga, NY and Brian and Ellen McKee of Whitehall, NY,
He will be greatly missed by the many residents of the Little Lake area of Lake St. Catherine, where he was always there for a helping hand for someone and to liven up a gathering on the deck with a singing a song or two.
He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Georgia Priest in 1997, his brother and sister.
