Charlotte Mae (Ogilvie) Coddington 92, died early Tuesday morning March 26, 2013 at her home.
She was born August 10, 1920 in Somerville, N.J. the daughter of Clinton B. and Frances (Thayer) Ogilvie.
Charlotte attended schools in Verona, N.J. and graduated from Northfield Mt Hermon School in Massachusetts in 1939. She graduated from Douglass College, New Brunswick, N.J. in 1943 and worked as a program director for the U.S.Os in Petersburg, V.A. and Wilmington, N.C. until 1946.
She taught Health and Physical Education in the Bridgewater, N.J. School System until receiving a Masters Degree from Kean College, Newark, N.J. in Student Personnel Services in 1970. Charlotte became a Guidance Counselor in Bridgewater, N.J. School System until her retirement in 1986.
Charlotte was a member of the Rupert Methodist church and a member of the Rutland Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors are her husband of 66 years, Edwin Earl Coddington, a son David Coddington and his wife Bonnie Van Gaalen, of Fruita, CO., a daughter, Kathryn (Coddington) Kaminski and her husband Rick, of Bridgewater Corners, VT, by her four grandchildren, Holly Coddington, Christopher Coddington, Sarah Kaminski and Amy Kaminski, by her great grandson, Nicholas Champine and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents and her brothers, John Ogilvie and Dr. Charles Dean Ogilvie.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
A public graveside service will be held at a later date in Poultney Cemetery.
