Westford, VT Carol A. Brown Carol A. Brown 62, formerly of Poultney, VT died early Wednesday morning July 20, 2011 at the Vermont Respite Home in Williston, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 28, 1949 in Rutland, VT the daughter of Ashley W. & Elizabeth (Simonds) Brown. She was a graduate of Poultney High School and Chamberlain Junior College in Boston. Carol was employed at PMB Nutritionals in Georgia, VT, retiring just last month. Throughout her long struggle with endless medical issues, Carol always looked on the bright side, saying there were others much worse off than she, and she found much pleasure in her cats, her books, her flower gardens, and cooking for everyone. Carol is survived by her sister, Mary Cross & her husband Dick, of Sunset Beach, N.C., her brother Ashley W. Brown of Sugar land, TX, two nieces a nephew and numerous cousins. A Graveside service will be held on Sunday July 24, 2011 at 1:30 P.M. in Poultney Cemetery . The Rev. Stephen Payne will officiate.
