Barbara M. Moyer 68, died Tuesday evening Nov. 1, 2016 at the Rutland Regional Medical Center in Rutland VT, after a brief illness. She was born Feb. 11, 1948 the daughter of Herman and Margaret (Lehane) Vesper. Barbara was a graduate of Brattleboro Union High School, class of 1969. She married Kenneth F. Moyer on January 19, 1980 at St. Raphael the Arch Angel Catholic Church. She then remained a loving wife and mother who enjoyed knitting and crocheting and made hats and scarves for family, friends and would also donate them. Survivors include, husband Ken Moyer of Poultney VT. Two daughters, Peggy L Moyer, and her fianc Nick Mazur of Pittsford VT, Heather J Flood, and her husband Jay Flood of Rutland VT, also by grandchildren, Ella Moyer, Cooper Mazur, Brogan Flood and Briana Flood; two sisters, Sharon Elwell of Vernon VT and Mary Vesper of Brattleboro VT; three brothers, Gerald Vesper of Fayetteville NC, twin brother, Brian Vesper of Bennington VT, and Richard Vesper of Vernon VT. Calling hours for friends and family will be on Sun. Nov. 6, 2016 from 2-5pm at Roberts-Aubin Funeral Home in Poultney VT, located at 266 Allen Ave., Poultney, VT 05764. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday November 7, 2016 at 10 am at St. Raphael the Arch Angel Catholic Church in Poultney VT, with Msgr. Bernard Bourgeois as the celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Raphael Cemetery.
