Barbara Ann (Barb) Ashback

Barbara "Barb" Ashback, 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 5, 2025 at Crescent Manor Nursing Home in Bennington, Vt. She is predeceased by her husband, John Ashback, and her parents, Joseph and Blanche Haack.

Barbara, born on January 11, 1941, was raised in Nutley, NJ. After marrying John in 1965, they made their home in Pequannock Township, NJ. In 1982 they moved to their much-loved state of Vermont to the town of Poultney.

Barb will best be remembered for her daily walks downtown with a cup of coffee in one hand and the leash her beloved spaniel, Morgan, in the other hand. In her earlier years she is remembered for her bookkeeping skills and her talents with a paint brush and crafting.
