Poultney, VT Anna S. Carmody Mrs. Anna S. Carmody, 99, died Saturday September 4, 2010 at Mountain View Center Genesis Eldercare in Rutland. She was born May 8, 1911 in Poultney the daughter of the late Joseph and Stephania (Estonia) Skovira. For many years Anna worked at the Rosenblatt Dress Company in Poultney. After the closing of the dress company she worked several years for the Journal Press. She was a member of St. Raphaels Parish and the Catholic Daughters of America. Anna is survived by her son, Daniel F. Carmody Jr., of Higganum, CT, by her three daughters, Margaret Carlton, of Elburn, IL, Anne Krouse, of Poultney and Elaine Steele of Fairfax, Va, by her two sisters, Mary Ormsby of Troy, NY and Elizabeth Marsette of Hacienda Heights, CA. ; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Daniel F Carmody who died in 1968 ; by two brothers and five sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday September 8, 2010 at 10 A.M. at St. Raphaels Catholic Church with the Rev. Adam Krempa, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Raphaels Cemetery. Visitation hours will be held today, Tuesday, September 7, 2010 from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the Roberts-Aubin Funeral Home, 266 Allen Ave, Poultney In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Raphaels Catholic Church at 3 East Main Street, Poultney, VT 05764. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roberts-Aubin Funeral Home. .
