Alfred D. Pemberton 75, died Thursday evening January 30, 2014 at his home after a lengthy illness.
He was born February 7, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY the son of the late Hubert and Ida (Reed) Pemberton.
Al was a member of the Poultney United Methodist Church; he enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling and helping others.
He was employed as an associate manager for Staco Corp. for 25 years then working as a bench worker at General Electric for 12 years retiring in 2000.
He married Aida Quinones in 1967in St. Thomas Virgin Islands.
Al is survived by his wife Aida Pemberton of Poultney, his children, Alfred H. Pemberton of Rutland, Monica Dillingham and husband Danyeah of Fairfax, VA and Roxanne Pemberton and Fianc Jeremy Dunn of Maryland, by his brothers, Alfonso Pemberton, Arthur Pemberton and Jimmy Pemberton, by his sisters, Vivian Lewis, Dorothy Feaster and Shirley Challenger, by his grandchildren, Sean and Peyton Dillingham and Arquedia and Olivia Dunn. Also by his aunt Agnes Reed of St. Martin, V.I., many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday February 7, 2014 from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Roberts-Aubin Funeral Home, 266 Allen Ave. Poultney, VT
Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 8, 2014 at 11 A.M. at the Poultney united Methodist Church with the Rev. David Adams Presiding.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Poultney United Methodist Church.
