GRANVILLE, NY - Brian "Bub" Francis Roche, 77, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025, at his home. He was born on February 8,1948 in Glens Falls, New York to James and Lenore (Breyette) Roche.

Brian was a proud veteran who served four years active duty on the USS Independence with the Navy and 20 years in the Army National Guard. He retired from General Electric after 39 years. He was an avid reader who loved all types of books and would explore every bookstore he found. Bub loved listening to any type of music, except Southern Gospel. He loved any cat that came into his life, including strays, but especially his best friend of 7 years, Annie. Bub was always ready for the next adventure, destination or not, and loved to take the back road. He had quite the sweet tooth, especially for a good cookie. Bub was a diehard Buffalo Bills and Boston Red Sox fan and rooted for them with great vigor (and varying results).

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Linda (Evans) Roche; his brother, Patrick (Vicky) Roche from Whitehall; his daughter Heather (Jackie Endres) Roche from Oregon; and his 3 bonus children: Kristi Tooley, Aaron (Mary) Tooley, and Jason Tooley. Bub loved his 7 grandkids: Alex (Adrienne) Gilmore, Brianna (Steve) West, Dylan (Sophie) Tooley, Jenna Tooley, Arianna Devino, Grace and Ava Tooley; and his 4 great grandchildren: Evan, Elliott, Bryce, and Amelia. Bub is also survived by his beloved cat, Annie.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents James and Lenore as well as Marie Evans and Roger Evans.

Visitation will be held from 4-6pm on Friday, November 21 at Roberts-Aubin Funeral Home, 266 Allen Ave, Poultney, VT 05764. The funeral will be held privately.
